Project Management introduces the critical principles and processes associated with project management and the practical application of these processes.    The course is aligned with the PMBOK® Guide to prepare students to take the PMP® exam. Topics covered include explaining and applying the basic terminology, tools, and techniques generally recognized as good practices by project management professionals

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Describe basic project management concepts and terms
  • Demonstrate an understanding for the role of a project manager
  • Define and apply project integration management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project scope management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project schedule management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project cost management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project quality management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project resource management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project communication management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project risk management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project procurement management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Define and apply project stakeholder management tools, techniques, and processes
  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize project management tools, techniques, and processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close a project
  • Align knowledge with the PMBOK® and prepare to take the Project Management Institute PMP® examination.
